After a few weeks of busy week-ends and travels, we decided to go back to the boat and check her out.
With the very high temperature, the storms, the red tide and the absence of wind, we knew it would be a marina’s week-end. Most likely this is going to be the pattern till September.
We took our time crossing the Everglade, thinking about how fragile they are, like the rest of the Floridian ecosystem.
The coast is suffering too and it is heart broken to see the damage of the red tide boosted by the contaminated water of the lake Okeechobee. Nobody seems to care about it.
Thanks to God, our marina was clean and most of the damages are located on the golf coast.
Wind Maiden was fine and the week-end was about relaxing. I took as well the opportunity to test the Go Pro camera during our trip. Amazingly easy to use and compact. Enjoy the video. I hope you are also working our your dream as we do 🙂
