Not much Wind

Sometimes planning is hard to keep.

The week-end started well on Friday installing back our genoa after doing some repairs. Since it was early, we decided to set the dinghy and filled the gas tank. We were ready to go on Saturday morning.

That was at least the plan. Unfortunately, I wake up late and the dock to empty our waste water was so busy that we have been waiting one hour before giving up. It was 10:30 when we finally started to sail.

We started with a nice 10 kts wind that eventually died out letting us drift 4 miles away from the marina. At this point we had two options: motor our way to our destination or slowly sail back to the marina.

Since we don’t like motoring, we turned back and sailed downwind to reach the marina around 4 PM. At the end, we spent a lot of time on water to do 8 miles 😊 Great week-end anyway!
